Glimpse was founded in 2019 by Amy Garber to solve a problem she had experienced firsthand throughout her career. With more than 25 years in the moving, relocation and workplace services industry, Amy had seen how often companies were forced to rely on spreadsheets, disconnected systems, manual processes and institutional knowledge to manage valuable assets moving through warehouses, offices and client locations.
As the Founder and CEO of Visions Management, a project management firm based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Amy and her team were tasked with capturing, tracking and managing the moving, storage and donation of more than 20,000 assets for a single client. At the same time, the onset of the global pandemic created an entirely new operational challenge. Visions was retained by multiple clients around the world to pack, ship, store and track employee equipment, personal belongings and workplace assets as offices closed with little notice.
The scale and complexity of those projects exposed a clear gap in the market. Existing systems were often cumbersome, inflexible or simply not designed for the way moving and storage professionals actually work. Amy believed there had to be a better approach.
Drawing on more than two decades of industry experience, she set out to create a platform that was easy to use, highly customizable and capable of supporting unlimited users, while bringing greater structure, visibility and accountability to every stage of the asset lifecycle. The solution also reflected the qualities Amy had emphasized throughout her career: attention to detail, organization, thoughtful process and a genuine understanding of the people responsible for getting the work done.
What began as a solution to a specific operational challenge evolved into Glimpse, a technology platform designed to capture, track, manage and report on assets throughout the moving and storage process. Since its inception, Glimpse has grown well beyond its original use case and has been used to manage thousands of assets and increasingly complex warehouse and logistics workflows.
Today, Glimpse continues to evolve around the same principle that inspired its creation: technology should make operations simpler, more transparent and easier for the people who use it every day.
A former Division I athlete and serial entrepreneur, Amy brings the same competitive drive and team-first mentality to building Glimpse that she has throughout her career. She is passionate about solving real-world problems, creating practical solutions and building teams grounded in integrity, innovation and good old-fashioned hard work.
